若要搭乘大眾運輸工具,提前訂位就不需擔心沒有位置,或是無法坐到喜歡的位置。然而今天文內的當事人好不容易提前訂到喜歡的靠窗座位,事後卻被要求讓位,讓她當下感到相當為難……。
在美國知名珠寶品牌「CONQUERing」擔任執行長的Tammy Nelson,日前她PO網分享一次不愉快的搭機經歷。Nelson在文中表示,她藉由事前訂位的方式,預先給自己訂到一個靠窗的座位,未料登機時,突有一位媽媽向她表示、想與她交換位置。
當時這位媽媽向Nelson說,因為她帶著兩個小孩一同搭機,如果能夠換座位的話,她就能和孩子坐在一起,能好好照顧孩子。
不過Nelson思索幾秒後、直白地告訴對方,自己之所以預定靠窗座位就是因為過往她都會暈機,加上她在下機後需要應對一場百人演講、前一晚她只睡了90分鐘,因此為了能在飛行途中好好休息,她必須拒絕這項要求。

Before anyone comes after me… the kids looked like they were about 11 and 15 years old. And the mom was in arms-reach of both of them from the middle seat in the row behind us. The mom proceeded to complain for at least 15 minutes to the person next to her loud enough for me to hear. But the woman actually defended me – several times. 未料對方聽了後,感到很不滿,認為Nelson太小氣,還在飛行途中以「刻意放大」的音量和其他不認識的乘客抱怨Nelson。
看完Nelson敘述的事件經過後,網友們幾乎一面倒力挺她,網友們說,她的座位是自己花錢買的,她本就沒有義務要讓出座位,所以她拒絕是合情合理的,也有網友批評那位媽媽說,若她真的很在意孩子在飛行途中有沒有被好好照顧到,登機前就應該自己多花時間和心力為孩子們選擇更好的位置,而非上機後才要求其他乘客讓位。
