颶風佛羅倫斯強襲美東，雖然已降為一級颶風，但威脅程度並未減弱。北卡羅萊納州稍早傳出數百名居民受困的消息，當局正與聯邦官員合作，出動船隻進行救援。最新消息指出，目前已有200人獲救，但仍有約150人待援 。

目前推特出現許多民眾求援的消息。根據克雷文郡（Craven County）緊急行動中心發言人帕克（Amber Parker）的說法，佛羅倫斯所帶來的災情嚴重，目前已接獲90多位民眾通報受困車內或房屋。官員羅伯茲（Colleen Roberts）表示，目前已有4處避難所已開放。
